The overall process is a work in progress.

Three early efforts that are being worked on include:

• Establishing a process with an associated time line
• Define a list of trends of the future to prepare for community dialogue

• Write a concept paper to describe the process, resources, and structure

A list of trends believed to be important for Norfolk and the future were extracted from several sources to include an article in The Futurist, "53 Trends Now Shaping the Future," written by Marvin J. Cetron and Owen Davies. The trends selected for the process will be a subset to help focus our efforts in support of community dialogue groups, a symposium, focus groups, and a final report.
